Dear Mrs Singh The plant is bamboo I know this because I have a big peice at my home and my little sister has one to. Bamboo is used for furniture, flutes, scaffloding, flooring and bicycle frames.
Hi Mrs Singh The tree in that photograph is bamboo. The needle in Alexander Graham Bell’s first phonograph was made of it and Thomas Edison used it as a filament for his glass bulb. Bamboo bridges have also been built capable of supporting trucks that weigh as much as 16 tons and according to UNESCO, 70 hectares of bamboo produce enough of the material to build 1000 bamboo houses.
